Songs About Cats That Have Saved Lives

loving relationships

Many songs are written about cats. Cats are often the inspiration of artists, from Freddie Mercury's "Delilah", to Celine Dion’s "Kitty Song," and even Celine Dion’s "Delilah". Many songs about cats have helped save the lives and health of people. Below are some of my favourites. For a more modern song, I recommend "O'Malley the Alley Cat" by The Kinks and "Rum Tum Tugger".

Freddie Mercury's Delilah

Delilah, Freddie Mercury’s cat, is the theme song of many a song. Mercury loved all cats but Delilah was his favorite. Mercury wrote the song to pay tribute to his feline friend. In fact, the song's title is a play on the name of Delilah. Delilah is the band's first cat. It was released as part of the Queen Classic album.

Freddie Mercury adopted several cats, and named three of them Delilah. Freddie adopted five cats from shelters and re-homed two, including Oscar. Romeo, and Tiffany, Freddie’s two cats, had reached old age when he died. Several of the cats were named after Queen songs. All of the cats were special to Queen, despite their names. Mary Austin adopted Oscar and Tiffany just before Mercury died. However, Freddie later rehomed both of them.

Mercury lived in Kensington England with Mary Austin. Despite their split, they kept in touch despite the pain. Mercury saved two cats from a Blue Cross shelter while he lived at the mansion. One of these cats was Tiffany. The other, Oscar, was originally a long-haired bluepoint. Mercury was a lover of cats and would often adopt them from the Blue Cross.

Freddie Mercury was tragically killed by AIDS-related bronchopneumonia despite Delilah's fame. Innuendo's third album was a big success. Mercury's final masterpiece however was less well-received. Despite Mercury’s failing health and frail appearance it became a cult-classic. The album was a huge hit, selling over two million copies and garnering worldwide attention.

Queen, a rock group that was internationally famous for its lead singer Freddie Mercury, was a success. The band was one the most loved of all time and Freddie is renowned for his flamboyant stage persona, four-octave voice range and fiery stage presence. He defied all conventions in rock music and was a significant influence on Queen's artistic direction. He was also the lead singer of the band, and his album is still very much in demand.

Queen's hit song "Delilah", which was released in 1987, is one of the greatest hits. Mercury's musical range, from deep bass to high tenor, enabled the band to perform more than one hit song simultaneously. Mercury's vocal range may have been impressive, but it was not nearly as good as his legendary status. A remarkably diverse collection of songs made up the album.

Celine Dion’s Kitty song

Celine Dion's 1996 pop song thanks someone for listening to her worries. Cat lovers understand that their feline friend is more attentive than humans. 1965 was a time when women were able to tolerate being called "pussycat", and Tom Jones. But their patience was short lived. Despite all the negative feedback, these women were loyal and willing to listen to their songs.

Celine Dion performed "I'm Alive," five nights per week during Caesars Palace. The song was released in 2004 on both the Live in Las Vegas CD and DVD, A New Day.

The movie composers were impressed by the actress's powerful voice. Disney selected the duet Dion and Peabo Britson for the credits in Beauty and the Beast. Angela Lansbury had sang the original song, but the movie used the Dion version. Celine Dion's self-titled 1992 album made the song debut. This song gained in popularity, earning the actress her first Oscar.

"Kitty" is another Celine Dion hit. It was released on the 1993 album of the same title. The song's lyrics are descriptive and heartwarming, making it an excellent choice for a wedding playlist. The right song can help you set the mood and enhance your most important moments. Your guests will feel uplifted. How can you choose the most beautiful wedding songs? These answers can be as varied as the couple themselves.

The Kinks' O'Malley the Alley Cat

Popular song from the 1970s is O'Mallay the Alley Cat by The Kinks. It tells a story about a cat. The song is based off a Victorian London game the band's leader played. Each person describes the cat using one adjective. Then, the other guests try to keep up the song by saying as many adjectives as possible.

The Kinks Rum Tum Tugger

It's a great character study, thanks to the Kinks song "Rum-Tum-Tugger". The character is infamously difficult to please and does things the exact opposite of what others would expect of him. His perverse, self-centered, and independent attitude sets him apart from the other characters in the song. The character is self-centered and sometimes shows humility.

The song was recorded in the 1860s. It is part a Victorian parlor game. Each guest describes the cat using different adjectives. They try to keep it going by using different adjectives. Today, this ad-lib tradition is still alive. The Kinks’ version of the song offers a humorous, nostalgic and charming look at Victorian times. The song's quirky and charming characters will keep you entertained.

"The Rum-Tum-Tugger" is one of the most funky rock songs ever written. The song runs at 120 beats an hour. It was composed in A major, and Tugger's vocals range from D4 through D6. Although the song isn't supported by an instrument, Tugger's vocal range and joy in the attention are evident.
